Have a Blessed Easter Sunday

Christ is risen! With all power and authority. Paul, the apostle, said if he had not risen, we would have no hope. But, we do have hope! A glorious and wonderful hope. Just as Christ could not be held in the grave and ascended into heaven, so we who believe in him will be received into heaven and one day our bodies too will be resurrected and made to be like his - incorruptable. All who trust in Christ will spend an eternity in heaven with the heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the saints of God and the multitudes of the heavenly host. What a glorious time that will be!

And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.  Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.  But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.  1 Corinthians 15:17-20

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:  It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.  1 Corinthians 15:42-44 via @pinterest via @pinterest via @pinterest

Rainbow Fluorite Gemstone Chips Silver Hoop Earrings

Rainbow Fluorite gemstone chips in various hues of purple, green and blue predominantly are threaded onto silver plated beading hoop earrings with silver plated accent beads. These light earrings are very comfortable to wear and the mixed colors can be combined with many different colored tops.  Hoop earrings are very popular and these have gotten a very good reception.

Here, I show the earrings with a casual outfit...perhaps for going to the mall.  The earrings complement the colors of the blouse, which I have paired with a flared jean skirt. To this casual looked, I've added the sparkle of silver metallic sandals and a silver wristlet style handbag.

These beading hoop earrings with gemstone chips are bargain priced at just $3.99, and that even includes shipping and gift bag. So, you'll have more money to spend when you do go to the mall :-).  At this price, you might even want to get a few different pairs.

Good Friday - Christ's Sacrifice is Personal to Me

It means so much to me that Christ was willing to endure such shame, pain, and torture so that he might save ME. Yes, he died for the sins of the entire world, but this is personal. He died for my sins. Every stripe he took, the nails, the thorns, the mocking and beating and being spit upon. It was for me. How can I not love someone who would go through all of that in order to save me?

At one point in my life I can honestly say I was very angry at God. But, he met me at my lowest point and spoke to my heart. He told me to get his word and read, leave my guilt behind, just read. I took it as a challenge and found my sister's Bible and for several weeks it seemed I felt his gentle presence there beside me, on my arm, as I read..starting from the beginning.  As I did, he began unraveling the chains and ties that had me bound. I accepted him into my heart as Lord and Savior and my life has never been the same since!

I'd like to share two pictures, as well as a set I put together that is a visual of my personal testimony.

Christ dealt an eternal defeat to Satan when he allowed himself to be crucified. He has victory over Satan, sin, the grave and death. I can testify that there is no better love, than the love of God, expressed through Christ Jesus. Have a blessed Good Friday!

Amethyst, Peridot and Clear Quartz Earrings and Bracelet Set

Amethyst (purple), Peridot (green) and clear quartz combine in this unique set featuring gemstone chips. I love using gemstone chips in my designs. One, they are very affordable and make the jewelry within reach for virtually any budget. Second, they have such intriguing shapes, textures and colors - no two are exactly alike! They are fun to wear and will certainly elicit complements.

The dangle earrings are in sterling silver plate and the ear wire is silver plated copper (lead and nickel free). Silver plated accent beads add additional sparkle.  The stretch bracelet is 7-1/2 inches and repeats the pattern of the earrings, which is a cluster of 3 of each gemstone.

I've also priced this set very reasonably at $16.99, and that includes shipping and gift bag. It will match your purple outfits, your light green outfits, and your white outfits perfectly. Here is a set, where I pull in all 3 colors:

Emerald: Color of the Year 2013. How Will You Style It?

Emerald green is the color of the year for 2013, as announced by Pantone, who is the authority when it comes to color.  So, if you haven't been paying notice, you may want to consider how you can style this hot color this spring and summer.  Of course, the emerald itself is associated with royalty, wealth, and luxury. So, just by adding this wonderful color to your wardrobe, you will feel extra special.

You don't have to be rich to enjoy the color. I'm going to share with you some variations that employ Pantone's color of the year, Emerald. Some are expensive, some are not. These may serve as an inspiration, or you may decide an item is a must have! For example, if the handbag or shoes are too expensive for your budget, stay with the color but pick a less expensive brand, while adding emerald via an accessory.  Or, you might simply add a scarf, or nail polish for a touch of the green. If you can afford it, well, you might want to splurge a little...

So, how will you style Emerald green in your wardrobe this spring and summer? I hope I've given you some ideas and inspiration and showcased just how beautiful this color, and gemstone, truly is. Great color selection Pantone!

Labradorite and Carnelian Sterling Silver Dangle Earrings

My Labradorite and Carnelian gemstone dangle earrings in gray with orange complement this attractive dress by designer Roland Mouret.  Orange will be a very popular color this spring/summer and this dress is perfect for the office, or lunch or dinner at an exclusive restaurant.  I've added high heeled gray pumps with orange detail, and a fabulous Phillip Lim light gray leather tote bag.  A silver bangle and necklace add the finishing touches to complete the look.

Want to stand out in the crowd? This is the way to do it, in my opinion.  This dress is elegant, classy, sophisticated.  You don't want to draw attention by exposing too much skin...that has an effect of cheapening, not adding value.  Show them you are priceless, ladies!

Orange Dress with Labradorite and Carnelian Earrings

Here is more information on the earrings:  They are 2-1/2 inches in length and the natural gemstones are threaded on a silver head pin, each separated by a silver accent bead.  The ear wire is dot style French. All metal is .925 Sterling Silver. I have priced them at $18.99. You can see them on eBay by clicking the following link: Labradorite and Carnelian Dangle Earrings.

Artisan Handcrafted Jewelry - ADORA by Simona

I am so pleased to introduce you to an acquaintance and artisan, Simona Counts, jewelry designer and the owner of ADORA by Simona. Her background is quite interesting in that she is originally from Romania and worked as a runway model for many years, then acquired a law degree and relocated to California.  In 2012, her love and passion for creating beautiful jewelry inspired her to quit working in the legal profession to pursue her dream full-time, with building ADORA by Simona.

Her creations are one of a kind, works of art, and she is often inspired by her love of nature and the stones themselves, which she carefully chooses either at trade shows or during her travels. Bold, dramatic, stylish and original, she works in a number of mediums: 14K gold, 14K gold fill, vermeil (gold over sterling silver), sterling silver, and copper. It was so hard choosing a few of her designs to show you, because they are all so beautiful!

So, I'll begin with a pair of earrings in 14K gold fill with freshwater pearls that she just added to her collection.  Aren't they exquisite? I love the unique ear wire and the glimmer of gold between the two pearls. They are priced at $42.99. Click the following link for more details: Ivory Freshwater Pearl and 14K Gold-Filled Earrings.

The following necklace and earrings set is a stunner and showcases her work in copper. Dramatic faceted Druzy Agate slabs are used, with the largest in the center, along with brushed copper beads to provide the perfect accent and contrast. The earrings are also brushed copper with teal beads. They do not compete with this bold necklace, but complement it perfectly in a subtle fashion. This set is priced at $149.00. Click the following link for more details: Tranquility - Freeform Agate Slab and Brushed Copper Necklace and Earrings Set

In these next earrings, Simona has used natural seafoam-green Chalcedony briolettes that are framed in vermeil (gold over silver). They hang from gold-filled hoops with cubic zirconia insets. The overall look is just total elegance! These are priced at $39.99. Click the following link for more details:  Natural Seafoam Green Chalcedony and Vermeil Earrings.

The last piece I will share is another pair of earrings, a personal favorite. First, the gemstone is just beautiful: Aqua Terra Jasper, which has sedimentary inclusions that make them even more intriguing and appealing. In this one-of-a-kind creation, the copper is hammered by hand for an interesting texture and curved slightly, and finished with graceful ear wires. The combination of the blue stones, the inclusions, and the copper is just a perfect match. These are priced at $24.99. Click the following link for more details: Aqua Terra Jasper and Hammered Copper Earrings

Wow, I get excited just looking at her work. Motivated and inspired. I'll close with a quotation from the artist herself:

"I've always looked to find the diamond hidden in the lump of coal or the lustrous pearl buried under the hard shell. Beauty is everywhere. You just have to look for it.  It is that passion to create something beautiful. And having found inspiration in everything that surrounds me, I hope to use my passion to go even further with it every day. Thank you for allowing me to create beauty in your lives. - Simona"

Do explore her extensive line, which I've only given you a small glimpse of, by visiting her site today: ADORA by Simona.

Mauve Spring Outfit for Work by Les Bijoux de Looty

As the weather warms and we come out of sweaters and boots, Les Bijoux de Looty, has put together a fabulous set featuring her jewelry and an outfit with mauve, which is such a lovely spring color! I personally don't think that bare shoulders are appropriate in the office setting, and the beautiful wrap sweater provides enough coverage, while still being cool and comfortable. The Donna Karan pencil skirt is flawless (and at this very moment over half off!). The handbag could not be a more perfect addition, and the shoes-well, classic open-toe pumps that never go out of style.

The mauve complements the colors of her dramatic ring, So Elliptic in brushed silver, and her So Fantasy pendant perfectly.  Laura Malanda, the creator of Les Bijoux de Looty, is a French designer of fine fashion jewelry, who ships worldwide, and she does have an English website, Facebook page and blog.  She works primarily in .925 sterling silver with Swarovski Elements and the jewelry is her personal design. Each line, with it's unique name, has it's own style and character-whether bold and dramatic, delicate and feminine, luxurious, sensual, elegant, or simply fantastic!
